Well, all the planning, all the time waiting, and we are finally here.  And boy did we hit the ground running.  We arrived very late in the evening on June 4, and took a short ride from the airport to our home in Consolacion, Cebu.  After some rest the next day, we started ministry on Saturday the 6th.

So far ministry is involving A LOT of children.  We are currently working with the children of Consolacion Church running a Vacation Bible School on saturday mornings. We are also working with the children of Basak.  They are just beautiful, and they are always so excited to see us.  We love singing songs, doing crafts, and just playing with them.  I jumped rope for the first time in about 15 years…boy do i feel old! Hah!

Our hosts, Sharon, Ruben, and Joy are WONDERFUL!  They are so happy to have us here, and they are so excited to work with us.  They have arranged all of the ministries and have set up all of the housing, so as a leader…I am incredibly grateful for all of the hard work that they have put forth.

Yesterday we had the oppurtunity to be involved in CCAC Family Day.  We got to worship with them for the service and then played games and presented a drime for about 500 people.  The team’s performance was spectacular, and the crowd really enjoyed it.  It was so neat to be involved in this community activity, and I know that I had a lot of fun.

Well, this is all for now, but there will be more to come I am sure.  Continue to pray for our team that we might minister through the love that God has given to us.  What a blessing it is to be doing his work.
