Unity in missions is SO essential on the field. We are truly one body doing the work of our Father in heaven, and if we are not united under one head, that is Christ Jesus, then we are disconnected and lost. This verse brought so much meaning to me on our Kenya trip. When our team was unified, we were glorifying God. When our team was disconnected, we were glorifying ourselves.
I have been incredibly blessed with a wonderful and mature team. Chad and I are always commenting on how lucky we are to be so blessed. God has truly brought these people together to do great things here, and I have felt so much unity within our team these past few days. We were having some communication difficulties in the beginning, but we came together as a team and worked through it a few days ago. Last night, we had an awesome evening of vulnerability and God was SO good in that time. And today, we sat down with our AMAZING hosts and discussed our dreams and hopes for this trip, namely the Riverside ministry that we are breaking into, and God has sparked in all of is a renewed excitement for our time here.
God has unified this body of Christ, and I cannot wait to see all of the parts of this body work together as God saw that they would.
