We were asked to write a blog about how we were called to this mission trip. Here is my story…
I am going to the Philippines through AIM because of the college church group I go to in Boulder, CO. Through the group, The Annex, I found out about a summer long mission trip they do every year called Messenger. After the announcement night last year I really felt like God was calling me to go somewhere for Him. So, I waited all year until the opportunity came up again to start applying. They chose me and two other wonderful ladies to head to the Philippines through AIM. Right now we go through training once a week in preparation for the trip.
I have no idea what to expect on this long mission experience in a completely different place, but I know that this is where I’m supposed to be. I really have a heart for people, especially children, and am excited to see how that plays out this summer.
