We were asked to write a blog about how we feel before the mission trip. Here is what I'm expecting: I'm expecting to be moved by what I see and changed by people around me doing God's work. Other than that, I don't have any specific ideas or plans on this trip. I just want to be about my Father's business, and I hope to reach people for him. Going into it, I have to admit I'm a little nervous about such a dramatic change in scenery. I'm mostly excited, though, as I love to travel and have never had the opportunity to live somewhere else for so long! I know God will do great things on this trip. Though I don't know any of you, I'm looking forward to getting to know you! You all seem like amazing people, and I'm honored to work with you this summer! The missionary William Carey (my university's namesake, though we actually have no direct relation to him) said: Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God. I feel that that's my specific purpose on this trip. Not to only do God's work, but to have faith in the great things He can do. God bless all of you as you prepare! I'm so excited! :-D
